The Forestry Commission, who manage Thetford Forest, have been awarded £610,000 by the Heritage Lottery Fund for a project to allow people to explore our areas past.

The scheme, titled ‘Trailing the hidden heritage of High Lodge’, will include the construction of a 4.2km trail for people to find out about how features of the area have been created – from gun flint mining to the creation of the forest itself.
